Cheesy Pepperoni Stromboli

Here’s a simple and tasty recipe for Cheesy Pepperoni Stromboli:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 20-25 slices of pepperoni
  • 1 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  2. Roll Out the Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle, about 10x14 inches in size.

  3. Layer the Ingredients: Spread a thin layer of marinara or pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, then layer pepperoni slices on top of the cheese.

  4. Roll and Seal: Starting from one of the longer edges, carefully roll the dough into a log shape. Pinch the edges to seal, then tuck and seal the ends as well.

  5. Prepare for Baking: Place the Stromboli seam-side down on the baking sheet. Brush the top with melted butter or olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.

  6. Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and crispy.

  7. Slice and Serve: Allow the Stromboli to cool slightly, then slice it into pieces. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve with extra marinara sauce for dipping.
